Ruoliimbie began as a wish for a shop that felt closer to a quiet reading room than a garden centre warehouse. We keep the floor small on purpose. Fewer tables mean we can water carefully, talk without shouting over speakers, and send plants home that match real Ljubljana windows.
Our name sits on the door and in the room: Ruoliimbie Plant Room. Neighbours know us for honest sizing — we will tell you when a monstera needs more light than your hallway offers — and for ceramic pots that actually drain.
What we care about
Healthy roots, readable care notes, and no pressure to buy the largest specimen. Gift wraps are simple kraft and twine when you ask. We do not run flash sales that push stressed stock out the door.
Suppliers are chosen for consistency: clean foliage, sensible potting, and labels that match what is in the soil. When a delivery disappoints, it stays off the floor. That discipline is how Ruoliimbie stays trusted on a busy street.
Visit the room
Trubarjeva cesta 41 puts us a short walk from the old town. Weekdays stay open into early evening so you can stop after work. Saturdays close at 15:00 — a calmer half-day for comparing ferns without the rush. Sundays we rest the plants and ourselves.
